PowerOasis Controller (PV)
With nearly 0.5M base stations globally powered by diesel generators as either the primary or backup power source, mobile network operators are seeking solutions to reduce diesel consumption and associated operations and maintenance costs, whilst lowering their greenhouse case emissions. The PowerOasis Controller (D) is a smart generator-battery hybrid controller that immediately delivers fuel consumption savings in excess of 50%.
The PowerOasis Controller (PV) is a complementary product that integrates seamlessly with the PowerOasis Controller (D) to further reduce diesel consumption by adding solar power as an additional power source.
The PowerOasis Controller (PV) is a self contained, pretested plug-and-play unit designed to simplify installation and provide an upgrade path to renewable power. Solar modules can be added in 0.5kW multiples up to 3kW allowing mobile network operators to add modules in phases. The resulting OPEX savings could be used to offset further solar expansion and yield yet more OPEX savings.
The PowerOasis Controller (D) can manage two PowerOasis Controller (PV) controllers to provide a total of 6kW of solar power as standard. The combination integrates with the PowerOasis Manager remote measurement, monitoring and control system to provide full visibility and management of the installation.
The PowerOasis Controller (PV) provides the bridge between generator-battery management delivered using the PowerOasis Controller (D) and the full renewable power capabilities of a PowerOasis solution, which integrates any combination of solar, generator and unreliable grid power sources.
