Ex Logica Supremo Joins PowerOasis to Steer Growth
PowerOasis welcomes Jim McKenna who takes the role of Non-Executive Chairman for the company.
McKenna, previously Chief Operating Officer at Logica Plc, 1993 to 2008 comments “I am very excited about the market opportunities for PowerOasis. The company is particularly perceptive at recognising the specific needs of the mobile telecommunications industry for efficient, reliable and cost effective power solutions for the hundreds of thousands of base stations that are not connected to a reliable electricity grid.”
McKenna adds, “PowerOasis has already demonstrated a proven track record of developing best in breed products and services that slash operating costs for those sites where running diesel generators 24/7 has been the only alternative to date.” He concludes “I see fantastic potential for PowerOasis's growth. There is a clear demand, we have an excellent solution - it’s now down to razor sharp execution.”
Jim McKenna has been a leader in the electronic and technology sector for many years having previously worked for GEC-Marconi and the Plessey Company Plc. He is also the Chairman of Azzurri Communications and Chairman of Catch22 - the national charity for under-supported young children. Jim has previously been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Parsons Brinkerhoff, Chairman of the Adab Trust and Chairman of the Board of Governors at the University of East London. He was a Non-Executive Director of AWG Plc between 2000 and 2007.
