Telecoms Energy Management and Environmental Sustainability Forum: Optimising Energy Consumption and Operations to Support Industry Wide Change
The 2nd annual Telecoms Energy Efficiency and Environmental Responsibility Forum from Marcus Evans is a follow up to the successful event they ran in April 2009. The event will discuss key strategies that will enable telecommunication operators reduce energy consumption while evolving their networks.
The event will be held on 14-16 Apr 2010 at the Radisson Blu Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Ivan Harris, Chief Marketing Officer at PowerOasis will be chairing the event and speaking with the subject: "Order out of Chaos: A Systematic Approach to Reducing Diesel Consumption in Networks"
What the conference aims to achieve
Cost saving is the key driver at the moment which explains why Telcos are devoting time and resources in this area. Being seen as very interested and investing in "green" technologies and initiatives also helps boost Telcos corporate image. This conference will explore the social responsibility held by the biggest telecom carriers and will provide a clear commercial rationale for being green in our fast-paced and technologically developed world.
