Management Team
John O’Donohue - Chief Executive Officer
John O’Donohue is CEO of PowerOasis and brings over twenty years of operational and strategic development experience in the wireless infrastructure sector. He spent 12 years with Motorola, growing the wireless networks business in Europe and Asia. In 2003, he set-up Motorola Ventures in Europe, driving commercial & equity investments in over twenty of Europe’s leading venture companies. He has served on the board of many venture backed companies, including Apertio prior to their acquisition by Nokia Siemens Networks and Sonaptic prior to their acquisition by Wolfsen Microelectronics. He brings to PowerOasis deep domain knowledge and relationships in the wireless infrastructure sector, coupled with a wealth of experience in managing high growth technology companies. He received his first degree in engineering from University College Dublin in 1985 and an MBA with distinction, from Imperial College London in 1993.
Andrew Keen - Chief Operations Officer
Andrew has over 25-years experience in telecoms and enterprise solutions and joins PowerOasis to drive growth and take responsibility for all aspects of the Company’s operations. Andrew brings a wealth of growth experience to the company with considerable knowledge of software, products, solutions, professional services, mergers & acquisitions, organizational transformation and strategy.
Prior to joining PowerOasis, Andrew was Corporate Development Officer and deputy CEO at Actix where he lead the turn-around of the company and execution of its strategic plan for enterprise solutions. Previously, Andrew held senior positions at Amdocs where he established global sales operations before leading the sales transformation programmes and was a key member of their mergers and acquisitions team that acquired Cramer in 2006 and led post-merger integration of a number of other acquisitions including Clarify. At Nortel and Siemens, Andrew was instrumental in developing their solutions businesses and establishing their enterprise professional services operations. Andrew has an extensive background in application software and product development having also worked for Digital both in the UK and France.
Pete Bishop - Chief Technical Officer
Pete is CTO of PowerOasis, an innovator and thought-leader in the application of renewable power in telecoms. He has a background in leading edge military radio design and has extensive telecoms knowledge having worked in the Cellular radio industry since 1989 leading teams bringing GSM, UMTS, WiMax and LTE products to market. He has spent the last 4 years developing and trialing micro renewable energy systems in conjunction with University research groups and cellular infrastructure equipment manufacturers.
He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and holds six patents.
Ivan Harris - Chief Marketing Officer
Ivan is a senior manager with 26-years technical and commercial experience with both well established and start-up software and hardware businesses, including 10-years at executive and C-level. He is a commercially focused technologist with a proven track record developing and executing successful product and platform strategies in the computer games, enterprise software and mobile telecommunications industries.
Prior to joining PowerOasis, Ivan was Chief Product Officer at Actix, a provider of Network Performance Engineering and Network Status Management products for mobile network operators globally.
Ivan is Chief Marketing Officer at PowerOasis and is responsible for defining product, service and partner engagement models and for ensuring that our offerings are driving growth for PowerOasis maximising value for our customers.
Asia Pacific Regional Management Team
William Wallace - General Manager, Asia Pacific
William (Bill) Wallace is the General Manager for PowerOasis in the Asia Pacific region. Bill is responsible for business development, solution delivery and customer service.
Bill brings to PowerOasis 25 years experience in ICT. Starting his career in the UK with IBM before joining Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), Bill moved into telecoms 15 years ago, relocating to Asia where he has led sales, service and delivery functions for several major companies including Nortel, Alcatel and Acision. Most recently Bill has worked for global mobile operator Tru, where he led the global deployment, customer care and systems development teams.
Bill has a proven track record in growing product and service businesses both in the Asia Pacific region and around the world. Bill is based in Singapore.
