PowerOasis Manager has been conceived and designed to fulfil the requirements of mobile phone network operators who need to maximise control of Operational Expenditure (OPEX). PowerOasis Manager reduces site visits by allowing operators to remotely manage network power equipment and respond to any issues before they impact operational efficiency.
PowerOasis Manager is a centralised software solution which monitors, controls and configures multiple PowerOasis Controllers deployed within a mobile network operator’s radio access network. By using an SMS/GPRS modem or a TCP/IP connection, data monitoring and control messaging is communicated between the PowerOasis Controllers and the PowerOasis Manager.
The power is managed at total network level, with all alarms presented and ability to drill down at a site level. All key variables are tracked and monitored, the data is stored and processed to enable CTO & CFO reports. To provide 24/7 access to the PowerOasis Manager features and to reduce installation costs, the PowerOasis Manager uses web server technology to deliver the user interface using a web browser. No software installation is required on a user’s computer and all software updates are applied in a central location. The server software is installed in a customer’s data centre and used by staff in a Network Operations Centre or Operations and Maintenance Centre to provide centralised wireless network power management.
