PowerOasis produces a range of Supervisory System Controllers (SSC) that
manage all aspects of renewable energy generation, integration, storage, and load
management. They are available for deployment in weather protected cell
site cabins, (typically as wall mounted panels) or in secure freestanding
IP55 enclosures for outdoor locations, (compliant to ETSI EN 300 019-1-4).
The controllers are based on PowerOasis's proprietary software algorithms
that maximise power transfer and storage through dynamically variable
voltage set points, giving significant efficiency improvements over
conventional hardware based PV and wind turbine controllers. This allows
the use of smaller power generation and storage elements to minimise the overall
site cost. The controller also performs periodic battery cell conditioning to
maximise cell life and capacity.
Designed specifically to support high availability telecoms applications,
the SSC provides full status and alarm monitoring via relay connections to
the associated BTS or direct to the OMC via SNMP. They also include
generator control capabilities to provide guaranteed site availability,
without needing to dimension the renewable energy generation and storage
for worst case weather conditions.
The SSC range is modular and scalable to power telecoms loads from 100W to 15kW.
They are supplied preconfigured for rapid installation on site. Additional options,
such as weather and site security monitoring along with data logging are also available.
